Hello, I’m Katrin-Anna Zibuschka (she/they), a Senior/Lead Programmer with over 15 years experience in programming, and 7 years in the field of games. I moved into game development because it unites my deep interest in computer science, creativity and social interaction.
I took my first steps as a professional game programmer at Die Gute Fabrik in Copenhagen, Denmark during and after finishing my bachelor studies in MultiMediaTechnology – Game Development & Mixed Reality at the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg, Austria. I worked there as a junior programmer on Mutazione (2019, PC, console, mobile), before being given the opportunity to lead an entire standalone DLC.
After finishing my studies and working on some smaller projects, Die Gute Fabrik invited me back in 2020 to work as the Programming Lead on their new story-driven adventure game Saltsea Chronicles (2023, PC & console).
It was a privilege to lead a game end-to-end, and to develop my leadership skills as we built a 7-strong team of programmers. As part of the work on Saltsea Chronicles I also developed an interest and skill for technical narrative design working alongside the Creative Director and Story Lead to define the story systems, tools and narrative design from a technical standpoint.
I am currently looking for new opportunities as a lead programmer, senior programmer or technical narrative designer. You can find further information in my Resume. Feel free to contact me at katrin-anna@zibuschka.com. You can also find me on LinkedIn, Twitter and Bluesky.
