This is a collection of more digital game related projects I worked on professionally and during education.
The Settlers Online
For 3 months I was part of the team that converted The Settlers Online from Action Script to C#/Unity. I worked on the tile-based rendering and framework for the new UI system working closely with designers and the customer.

Bachelor Thesis
Proof of Concept – Developing a Serious Game for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
The aim of this thesis was to give an overview of appropriate game design principles specifically for serious games and exergames for children with ASD and utilizing them to build a prototype of a serious game for said individuals. The development included creating game concepts in cooperation with games designers and experts from an association for children with ASD, holding design workshops for children with ASD, as well as testing and evaluating the resulting prototype by children with ASD and experts from the mentioned association.
The prototype dealt with the topics of bullying and helping others. The player had to solve puzzles by folding and unfolding a triangle into other shapes by swiping over the triangle on a touch screen.
Unity, C#, Git

Delivery Duel
Delivery Duel is a fast-paced 3D local-multiplayer game in which up to 4 players compete to find out who steers the fastest delivery service in the city.
The challenge for this student project was to develop a game over the course of only one week in a team of three. Because of the time constraints we aimed for a simple game design, where the core mechanics could be implemented in only one day, so we would consequently have relatively much time to test, polish and add additional features.
Apart from game design I was responsible for the sound implementation, as well as designing and implementing parts of the gameplay and UI. Since we didn’t have any artists in our team I was also in charge of the look and feel of the game. Therefore I obtained and created necessary assets such as icons, textures and sounds based on public resources.
Unity, C#, Git, Trello

Sumo-Dancing
During a recruitment test I was given a bunch of assets to work with in a very short amount of time, so I implemented this quick mini game to showcase my knowledge in different areas of Unity. It’s a 1-vs-1 sumo wrestler dance battle – dance harder than your opponent to cover them in slime.
Unity, C#, Git

Brain Damaged Toy Car Rally
Brain Damaged Toy Car Rally, is a top-down racing game for up to four competitors. The goal is to finish as many rounds and stay alive as long as possible, while manipulating your competitors into taking brain damage.
This two-person student project started as a task to build our own game engine using C++. After we finished our engine we were then asked to use it for building a game. I was responsible for the game design, engine, project organisation and implementing gameplay mechanics and UI.
C++, Git, Tiled, Box2D, Trello
Eat ‘Em Up
Eat ‘Em Up is a 1-vs-1 2D platformer where the Gazelle tries to eat all the leaves, while being hunted by a hungry Lion.
This was my very first game project when I started my bachelors degree in Game Development. Apart from the art assets which I commissioned based on my own drafts and publicly sourced audio, I worked on all areas of this project on my own.
C# (MonoGame Framework), pen and paper
